We are looking for a designer who is inspired by styles and trends and passionate about how those translate into people's homes and lifestyles. The right person will have strong conceptual, sketching and communication skills, be comfortable working on fast paced teams, and have a leadership approach toward the design process.
Skills and responsibilities
- Assist in the research and identification of fashion and industry trends. Then developing that insight into inspiration boards that help capture and communicate the trend as a springboard to product development.
- Conceptualize on trend solutions for decorative elements for the home.
- Develop new innovative solutions that help to expand our product horizon and create opportunities to expand our footprint in the marketplace.
- Work as a collaborative player on a cross functional team with a focus on design leadership, process discipline and results.
- Refine and detail ideas, develop digital geometry, prototypes and clearly communicate design intent.
- Populate maintain and communicate evolving design brief objectives throughout design process to provide focus and ensure on target solution development and delivery.
- Maintain a positive, well rounded and creative approach to the product development process.
This position will report to the Industrial Design Senior Manager, Décor in Atlanta Georgia.
- BFA/ BS or equivalent in Industrial or Product Design.
- 2-4 years Fashion / Trend experience.
- Strong sketching, conceptualization and communication skills.
- Confident 3D surfacing skills. (Rhino, Alias, etc.) Solid Works preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and assignments simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Creative thinking/problem solving skills.
- Initiative & follow-through.
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
- Solid analytical skills and acute attention to details.
- Ability to work effectively across functions and lead teams.
