Product Marketing Manager - Label Writers DYMO Job

This is a job summary which includes essential job duties of the position. More specific information regarding duties may be provided upon request for particular locations and facilities.
This position will be responsible for managing the Professional LabelMaker product line within the DYMO Labeling brand to build consumer demand, market share, sales, and profitability grounded in deep consumer, product, and market understanding. This individual will lead portfolio management, integrated marketing planning and pricing management and will assist in recommending brand strategy and building a solid product pipeline.
·Develop and execute a comprehensive strategic plan for the profitable management of pricing, gross margins and OI across assigned product lines. This may also entail a monthly forecast of assigned product lines to include detailed tactics required to meet the strategic objectives.
·Lead a cross-functional team to create a robust pipeline of new products based upon consumer insights and market needs, and following the Consumer Driven Innovation process. Collaborate with consumer insights to write new product concept statements. Recommend product features and benefits, and overall product design, based upon consumer insights and needs.
·Work collaboratively with consumer insights and R&D to analyze consumer trends, technologies, product categories, and geographies to help identify category trends and future sources of growth. Analyze product portfolio to help determine product classes to enter, exit, or maintain.
·Manage an annual situation assessment, which analyzes overall product line and business performance. Recommends business implications from key conclusions.
·Forecast and launch products for commercial and retail customers.
·Review channel, country cluster and customer-specific point-of-purchase trade plans to ensure consistency with marketing objectives and strategies, and marketing plan.
·Assist in leading cross-functional teams to achieve company objectives, as well as, act as a contact for manufacturing, purchasing, sales, quality, and engineering.
·Provide product training to customers and consumers.
· Bachelors/University degree in Marketing or related field, degree in marketing preferred
· 4 years experience in product management with a proven track record of results
· Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and assignments simultaneously
· Creative thinking/problem solving skills
· Initiative & follow-through
· Strong project management skills
· Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
· Solid analytical skills and acute attention to details
· Ability to work effectively across functions and lead teams
·Strong oral and written communication skills are required; must be able to present data and conclusions in an organized manner
Preferred Qualifications:
· Consumer Products or Technology Industry Experience
· Experience working directly with retailers or other large customers
· Experience conducting primary consumer research, including focus groups and in office ethnographies
