Director of Marketing - Beauty and Style Job

General Function

The Director of Marketing will direct and coordinate marketing strategies and activities for assigned brands and products. This role is responsible for initiating and executing:

· Growth platforms across the market

· Overall brand strategy

· Customer segmentation and targeting

· Long-term innovation

· Spending and pricing

· Leading a team that markets brands to a local, regional or global community using both well-established and innovative techniques

The Director of Marketing will report into the VP of Marketing and must work closely with Consumer Insights & Research and Marketing Communications peers. This role must also engage cross-functionally with the supply chain functions, R&D, Sales and other key functional areas. The Director of Marketing's team will direct and coordinate marketing strategies and activities for assigned brands, and will be tasked with driving the business in the following areas:

Duties and Responsibilities

· New Product Development (idea generation, screening, concept development, and testing, formulation of marketing strategies, business analysis, production, market testing, and commercialization)

· Overall brand strategy, including brand architecture and brand positioning across all levels of our portfolio.

· Brand Equity & Share Growth (brand value, market share, brand and market growth, and decision-making for the effective handling of brands)

· P & L management- develop and manage required product line sales and gross margin goals.

· Marketing Research (planning, collection, and analysis of data relevant to marketing decision making and the communication of the results of this analysis)

· Long-term Innovation Platforms (consumer centric needs-based platforms, understanding and alignment across product marketing, products design, and engineering)

Bachelors/University degree in Marketing or a related discipline

10-12 years of brand management experience with a proven track record of results

5-7 years of marketing team leadership experience

Must be able to lead and work collaboratively in a team environment

Strong background in new product development

Experience driving brand equity and share growth

Experience leading a marketing team for a brand that is heavily influenced by fashion or trends is strongly preferred

Preferred Qualifications:

Consumer Products Industry Experience

MBA or related strongly preferred
