Channel Manager-B2B Job

The role of this job is to commercialize sales and marketing programs in the B2B channel, and to identify channel-specific business-building opportunities; work with global business units and brand teams to develop products specific to the channel; work as a coequal with sales to deliver sales and profit results; responsible for complex segments targeted for high growth.

Essential Duties:

· Develops rolling 12 mo. shared channel/account plan with monthly calendar.

· Work with Sales, GBUs, and Operations to identify, develop, commercialize, and implement channel/customer specific programs (special packaging, promotions, events, marketing materials, targeted sampling, flyers, brochures, displays).

·Develops key sales kits to leverage sales resources.

·Lead and manage key and national account programs.

·Monitors merchandising plans via pre and post analysis to drive improvement.

·Develop and execute launch plans and marketing strategies for new product introductions / launches.

·Work with sales and Brand teams to effectively leverage the full spectrum of promotional funds. (Market development, sales promotion, and product marketing budgets)

·Manage approved channel-specific expense budgets.

·Collect/develop and analyze sales reports and market feedback from internal sources, industry association data and customer sales in order to identify key issues, trends, opportunities and market share growth/decline for use in marketing and sales planning purposes.

·Work closely with Brand teams, customer, NAM and forecasting groups to execute and evaluate product forecasts.

·Conduct competitive market analysis to formulate recommendations for an annual brand plan including advertising and promotional strategies.

·Work with Account Manager and sales representatives in the field to gain knowledge of customer interaction and sales process.

·Work on and lead projects assigned both individually or within a team environment.

·Mentor other marketing personnel in the B2B channel.

·Other duties as assigned.

·BA degree in business administration with a marketing emphasis. MBA preferred.

Work Experience Requirements:

·At least 3-5 years of marketing and brand or channel management experience. Some sales experience a plus.

·Significant knowledge of B2B channel of distribution. Ancillary knowledge of Commercial, Retail and Superstore channels of distribution.

·Develop strong relationship with and respect for Sanford sales organization

·Experience with the creative development process and program execution

· Experience with sales and marketing budgets, P&Ls, forecasting, promotional offers to drive sales

·Highly organized and very strong, proven project management skills

· Proven performance to create programs to pull through product through channel distribution

· Self-starter and able to work independently

· Sound analytical skills and acute attention to details

· Adept at creative thinking and problem solving

· Able to work effectively across functions

· Passionate about the business opportunity

· Strong communication skills

· Persuasive and able to succinctly communicate ideas

· Passion for channel marketing

· Ability and desire to multi-task

Technical Experience and other Requirements:

· Highly organized and strong verbal and written communication skills.

· Must be a self-starter and self-motivated with a strong work ethic.

· Solid analytical skills and acute attention to details.
