Business Development Manager, Endicia Job

This is a job summary which includes essential job duties of the position. More specific information regarding duties may be provided upon request for particular locations and facilities.

The Business Development Manager will work with internal and external resources to help form, plan, coordinate and execute business development projects, campaigns, programs and business strategies in support of Endicia's mailing and shipping products, services and objectives. They will work closely with business development, marketing teams, sales teams, partners, postal authorities, and customers.

Essential Duties:

· Contribute to the development of an integrated marketing/business strategy including, but not limited to: benchmarking, market segmentation, postal relations, research and analysis, forecasting, communication strategies and execution

· Work with R & D to implement partner solutions

· Manage process and preparation of proposals for opportunities with new and existing clients.

· Assist in managing the relationship with high profile partners and postal authorities

· Develop an understanding of consumer target segments and needs

· Define, develop and lead execution of launch plans for new product introductions, product updates, and channel strategies

· Develop business cases and interface with marketing groups, finance, R&D, sales, and management teams

· Identify emerging market segments

· Other duties as assigned

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

· Must have exceptional written and oral communication skills

· Proven ability to negotiate contracts

· Excellent interpersonal and cultural skills to effectively and professionally work with coworkers, partners, vendors, and customers

· Business Development experience - International Experience is a plus

· Marketing or Product management experience a plus

· Market research and sales experience a plus

· Ability to apply analytical tools to market/business analysis

· Strong abilities in the areas of analysis, budgeting, problem solving and decision making.
· Must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously

Acceptable Experience and Training:

Bachelor's or Masters degree in Marketing or Business Administration

1-3 years experience working in a marketing, sales or business development environment.

Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Experience working with Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Internet research tools.
