QA Engineer-Endicia Job

This is a job summary which includes essential job duties of the position. More specific information regarding duties may be provided upon request for particular locations and facilities.

This individual will be responsible to develop test plans for a suite of shipping applications that integrate with the United States Postal Service and other shipping carriers, coordinate the testing efforts of a cross functional team, insure that independent testing and verification has been completed for all new releases, and collaborate with our European test center. You will have responsibility for triaging and prioritizing defects found in development and production and you will help build a quality assurance organization based in our Palo Alto headquarters.

·Review product requirements and prototypes

·Develop test plans to support the testing efforts

·Work with engineering to design and implement automated testing applications

·Assist your team to make decisions about defects/enhancements in a given release cycle

·Coordinate testing efforts by customer support, engineering and offshore QA engineers

·Participate from concept requirements to validation phase

·Collaborate with software developers, operations staff, and marketing

·Work hard, make a difference, and have fun

Required Qualifications:

·Proactive leader that takes initiative and who demonstrates a high level of accountability

·Strong project management skills

·Excellent written and oral communication skills

·2 years experience in reviewing product requirements and design, creating test plans, and testing scalable, distributed, fault-tolerated web and client based applications in a Windows and/or UNIX environment

·Ability to build relationships, collaborate with and influence cross-functional teams

·Ability to work individually with minimal supervision

·Ability to work in a highly demanding environment where teamwork is a must

·Highly motivated, reliable and hard working

Desired Qualifications:

·BS/BA in Computer Science or related

·Familiarity with JavaScript, PHP, XML and other scripting languages

·Experience with test automation software including Quality Center or similar products

·Project management, team lead, or management experience

Responsible for a multi-design and to develop web services that power shipping and mailing solutions developed in partnership with the USPS and other international postal carriers. This role requires a responsible individual who can deliver high quality results on credit card and ACH payment gateways, the generation of encrypted electronic postage, CASS certified address verification tools, and XML and EDI interfaces to customer, partners and regulatory agencies.
