More specific information regarding duties may be provided upon request for particular locations and facilities. <br/><br/>The Kitchen Prep Product Manager will own the category of Kitchen Prep for the Calphalon brand, including overall P&L management.  This person will manage the overall health of the core categories, as well as drive strategic pipeline development and commercialization for new products. This role works cross-functionally with the supply chain functions,  R&D, Sales, Brand Marketing and other key functional areas  to develop and implement product line strategies which:  1) align with brand strategy and positioning, 2) meet our consumers' and customers' needs and 3) generate profitable growth for Calphalon.  The product lines included in the Kitchen Prep category are cutlery, utensils, gadgets, and accessories. <br/><br/>Duties and Responsibilities: <br/><br/>·Brand Alignment - understand brand positioning and translate into portfolio of category offerings that are relevant to target consumers and differentiated from competitors.<br/><br/>·Consumer and Market Understanding - Articulate consumer needs and marketplace dynamics that impact the product line.  Determine which needs are most important and integrate these consumer insights into decision making for design, product development, and demand creation.<br/><br/>·Strategy Setting - Frame up key strategic issues that impact the category and make strategic choices that will provide competitive advantage.<br/><br/>·New Product Development and Planning - Define, develop and commercialize new products that fit overall brand strategy.  Coordinate development, implementation, and execution of product plans with Sales, Finance, Research & Development and Operations.  Deliver new products on consumer, on cost, on time, on quality.<br/><br/>·Core Product Line Business Growth - Define and develop product strategy for core items, including optimizing the product line for profitability, SKU management and forecasting demand.<br/><br/>· Sales Support - Understand strategy of key customers and work with Channel and Field sales in the creation of product programs.  Direct, coordinate, and support the roll out these programs for marketing introduction of new products and discontinuation of existing products.<br/><br/>·P&L Management - Develop and manage required product line sales and gross margin goals. Deliver the required profit of product line by managing sales/gross margin and by bringing marketing programs in on budget.<br/><br/>·Requires a four-year degree<br/><br/>·Must have 4-5 years experience in product management and/or marketing with financial experience, for a strong consumer product company<br/><br/>·Demonstrated experience in and passion for consumer-centric marketing<br/><br/>·Previous experience with new product development<br/><br/>·Must demonstrate good communication, presentation, computer and analytical skills.<br/><br/>·Must be able to lead and work in a team environment.<br/><br/>Preferred Qualifications: <br/><br/>?
